I'm no software developer... but I know that opensource contributes signficantly to our economy, and really supports innovation.... so not surprised by this.

Microsoft is just spreading FUD in an attempt to scare clueless CEO's into denying IT department requests to switch their servers (and sometimes desktops) to Linux. I've seen it happen all too often.
